Good morning, this is your Tesla Daily Update for Saturday, September twelfth, twenty twenty-six.
Because markets are now closed for the weekend, today's edition focuses on the latest verified developments from Friday, September eleventh, and on Tesla's most recent trading session.
Our lead story is Tesla's European Semi launch plan. The company has outlined a European version of its electric heavy truck with up to five hundred fifty kilometers, or about three hundred forty-two miles, of range while carrying a fully loaded forty-tonne configuration. Tesla also says the truck will support charging at up to eight hundred kilowatts. More launch details are expected at the I A A Transportation show in Hanover next week, while news reports say European deliveries are planned from twenty twenty-seven. The opportunity is significant, but fleet operators will watch real-world range, charging availability, payload, and production timing closely.
Second, a pre-production Cybercab spotted in Berkeley offered a revealing look at Tesla's testing process. Photos published by Electrek showed an exposed steering column and a Cybertruck-style steering wheel installed in a vehicle designed to operate without conventional controls. Temporary hardware is normal during development, so the sighting does not establish the final production design. It does, however, highlight the practical testing and regulatory work that still sits between an autonomous-vehicle concept and a widely deployed commercial service.
Third, driver supervision is again in focus. Electrek reported that Elon Musk amplified a video in which an elderly Tesla owner said he no longer watches the road while using Full Self-Driving. Whatever the intent of the clip, Tesla's own language says Full Self-Driving is supervised, requires an attentive driver, and is not an autonomous driving system. That distinction remains essential for safety, public communication, and legal risk.
Turning to the market, Tesla shares ended Friday at three hundred sixty-five dollars and forty-four cents. That was up one dollar and eighty-eight cents, or about zero point five-two percent, from Thursday's close. The modest gain suggests investors absorbed the day's product news without a major change in sentiment.
The bigger picture is execution. The Semi needs reliable production and charging support, Cybercab needs safe and scalable operations, and supervised driving still depends on responsible human use.
That's all for today's Tesla update. Have a great weekend, and stay tuned for the next edition.
