Good morning, this is your Tesla Daily Update for Monday, September seventh, twenty twenty-six. Because markets are closed for the Labor Day holiday in the United States, today's edition focuses on the latest verified developments from the prior week and the most recent trading session. The biggest story from Tesla this week is the formal launch of the Cybercab. Tesla held a low-key event to put the first passengers into its two-seat robotaxi in Austin, but the celebration was short-lived. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA, opened an audit the very same day into how Tesla certified the vehicle. The probe targets the exact thing that makes the Cybercab unusual: it has no steering wheel, no pedals, and no mirrors. Federal regulators want to understand how a vehicle without those traditional controls meets the federal motor vehicle safety standards. Even as regulators circle, Tesla announced a major operational milestone. The company said its Robotaxi fleet has now driven one million miles without a human driver supervising them. That number is more than double what Tesla reported just six weeks ago, suggesting the service is scaling quickly in Austin. On the safety side, Tesla rolled out a new version of its Full Self-Driving Supervised software that can take control of the car to avoid a collision, even when the driver is driving manually. The feature is part of version fourteen point three point nine, and it marks a notable expansion of the system's active safety role. In China, however, the news is more troubling. Several owners of Tesla's new Model Y L, the larger three-row version of the popular Model Y, are reporting suspension failures. The complaints are loud enough on Chinese social media that fans have already developed a "finger method" to test whether a vehicle is affected. Tesla has not yet publicly responded. Looking at the market reaction. Tesla shares closed Friday at three hundred fifty-four dollars and eight cents, down twenty-two dollars and twenty-nine cents, or negative five point nine-two percent from the previous session. That was the sharpest one-day move in several weeks and comes as investors digest a mix of regulatory scrutiny and operational milestones. That's all for today's Tesla update. Stay tuned for tomorrow's news. Have a great day.
