Good evening, this is your Tesla Daily Update for May 26, 2026.

Today’s top Tesla stories span production milestones, software evolution, and expanding partnerships.

First, production news. Tesla has confirmed that its long-awaited Roadster supercar will be built at Gigafactory Texas. Vice President of Vehicle Engineering Lars Moravy says more details will unfold over the coming months. The Roadster was first unveiled in 2017, originally targeting 2020 delivery, but faced delays as Tesla sought to add enhanced capabilities. Meanwhile, Cybertruck Dual-Motor AWD deliveries are imminently approaching, with Tesla now assigning Vehicle Identification Numbers to this $59,990 trim.

Second, a major software rename. Tesla’s Full Self-Driving system is now officially called Tesla Autopilot. A supervised version is now available in 10 countries and regions, including China, where Tesla expects full regulatory approval by Q3 2026.

Third, Volvo is joining the Supercharger network. Starting in Q4 2026, Volvo EV drivers in Europe will be able to locate, navigate to, and pay for charging at over 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across 29 countries, all through the Volvo app.

And on the recall front, Tesla is issuing a voluntary recall for 14,575 Model Y SUVs from model years 2025 and 2026. The issue involves missing certification labels that cannot be fixed with a software update and will require a service visit.

Looking at the broader picture, Tesla continues to expand its ecosystem beyond vehicles — from software branding clarity to charging infrastructure access for other brands. The Roadster revival and Cybertruck momentum signal that hardware excitement remains alive even as the company navigates regulatory and operational complexities.

That’s all for today’s Tesla update. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s news.
