Good morning, this is your Tesla Daily Update for Monday, October twelfth, twenty twenty-six.

Because United States markets were closed over the weekend, today's edition focuses on the latest verified developments from Friday and the most recent trading session.

First, Tesla's China-made electric vehicle sales improved in September. Data reported by Reuters showed sales from the Shanghai operation rose five percent from a year earlier to ninety-five thousand, three hundred sixty-six vehicles. That was faster than August's growth, while third-quarter sales of Shanghai-built vehicles increased thirteen point seven percent year over year. The results suggest Tesla is regaining some momentum in China and Europe, although aggressive local competition remains. Tesla is also offering limited discounts on selected Model Y and Model 3 variants in China through the end of October.

Second, Tesla has changed the European name of Full Self-Driving to Tesla Assisted Driving. The shift follows regulatory criticism that the old label could imply a level of autonomy the supervised software does not provide. Drivers must still remain attentive and legally responsible. Eight European countries currently allow the system, while a wider European Union vote has been delayed until at least December as additional testing continues. The rename may improve regulatory clarity, but approval timing remains the key issue.

Third, public Texas vehicle records indicated a major expansion in Tesla's purpose-built Cybercab registrations. A batch of one hundred fifty additional vehicles lifted the registered Cybercab count to three hundred nineteen, within a broader Tesla robotaxi roster of seven hundred thirty-nine vehicles. Registration totals do not prove that every vehicle is actively carrying paying passengers, so the operational rollout still needs careful verification. Tesla also faces an October thirtieth deadline to answer federal questions about Cybercab safety certification.

For broader company context, Tesla reported third-quarter production of four hundred sixty-four thousand, three hundred ninety-one vehicles and deliveries of four hundred eighty-six thousand, five hundred thirty-two vehicles. Energy storage deployments reached thirteen point seven gigawatt-hours. Third-quarter financial results are scheduled for October twenty-first.

In the most recent trading session on Friday, Tesla shares moved modestly higher, closing at three hundred eighty-two dollars and seventy cents. That was an increase of seven dollars and seventy cents, or about two point zero-five percent, from the prior close.

The near-term story is a mix of improving sales data, regulatory progress, and fast-moving autonomy ambitions. Investors will now look for evidence that these developments translate into sustainable margins and reliable commercial deployment.

That's all for today's Tesla update. Stay tuned for the next edition.
