Good morning, this is your Tesla Daily Update for Monday, September twenty-first, twenty twenty-six.
Because United States markets were closed over the weekend, today's edition focuses on the latest verified Tesla developments from Sunday and the final trading sessions of last week.
First, Tesla has reopened reservations for its next-generation Roadster ahead of an October first unveiling near Waco, Texas. Electrek reports that the reservation page asks customers for a fifty-thousand-dollar deposit. The renewed booking window brings attention back to a vehicle first shown in twenty seventeen, and to early deposit holders who have now waited nearly nine years. For investors and customers, the important questions are no longer just acceleration figures or design claims. The October event will need to provide a credible production schedule, final specifications, pricing, and a clear explanation of how earlier reservations will be handled.
Second, Tesla's energy business reached another infrastructure milestone in Australia. A new grid battery at Limondale in New South Wales uses one hundred forty-four Tesla Megapacks and can discharge for eight hours. That is substantially longer than the two-hour systems common in the Australian market. Long-duration storage can help shift renewable electricity into evening demand periods, and the project shows how Megapack deployments can support Tesla's growth beyond passenger vehicles.
Third, Tesla is extending its heavy-truck charging footprint through a partnership model. Forum Mobility says Tesla will operate public Megachargers at three planned electric-truck depots in California. Forum also holds reservations for more than three hundred thirty Tesla Semis. The arrangement suggests that the Semi ecosystem may expand through shared infrastructure rather than Tesla-owned locations alone. Execution will still depend on construction timelines, reliable high-power charging, and the pace of Semi deliveries.
Turning to the market, Tesla shares edged slightly lower in the most recent trading session. The stock closed on Friday at three hundred sixty-four dollars and twenty-seven cents, down one dollar and ninety-three cents, or about zero point five-three percent, from Thursday's close. With markets closed for the weekend, that remains the latest official close rather than a Monday price.
The near-term Tesla story now spans three very different tests: whether the Roadster can move from another reveal to production, whether energy storage can maintain its infrastructure momentum, and whether charging partnerships can accelerate the commercial rollout of the Semi.
That's all for today's Tesla Daily Update. Thank you for listening, and stay tuned for the next edition.
