Good morning, this is your Tesla Daily Update for Monday, August seventeenth, twenty twenty-six.
Because United States markets are closed for the weekend and it is still early Monday in Asia, today's edition focuses on the latest verified developments published through Saturday, plus Tesla's most recent trading session.
First, Tesla has enabled vehicle-to-load capability for eligible Model Y Premium vehicles in the United States and Puerto Rico. According to Electrek, the feature can provide up to two point four kilowatts at one hundred twenty volts and twenty amps. Owners need an eighty-dollar adapter, available with a vehicle configuration or through the Tesla Shop. Compatibility is not universal, so owners should confirm that their specific Model Y supports the feature. The update gives eligible drivers a practical way to power tools, camping equipment, or selected appliances from the vehicle battery.
Second, a report says Tesla could demonstrate its long-delayed next-generation Roadster as early as this month. The reported presentation may include a remotely operated lift-off stunt using SpaceX-developed cold-gas thrusters, with no person inside the car. Spectators would reportedly remain at a substantial distance because of the noise. This remains a reported plan rather than a completed demonstration, so the key question is whether Tesla announces a firm event date and provides credible production timing.
Third, Tesla Electric has introduced a Powerwall lease offer in Texas. The program is advertised at about thirty-five dollars per month for two Powerwall units and requires enrollment with Tesla Electric. The proposal lowers the apparent monthly barrier to whole-home backup, although customers should examine contract length, electricity-plan terms, installation conditions, and ownership details before comparing it with a purchase or conventional lease.
Looking at the market, Tesla shares edged higher in the most recent trading session on Friday, August fourteenth. The stock closed at three hundred forty-two dollars and twenty-seven cents, up two dollars and thirty-one cents, or about zero point six eight percent, from the prior close. That modest gain offers limited evidence by itself; investors will continue watching vehicle demand, product execution, energy growth, and the credibility of Tesla's technology timelines.
That is all for today's Tesla Daily Update. Follow the source links in the episode post, and stay tuned for the next verified developments.
